SymXchange Developer's Guide
Before you begin developing in and setting up the SymXchange environment, you should understand what the product is, what it does, and how it works from first- and third-party perspectives.
Requirements
Before you can enable SymXchange, all of the following must be true:
- You must acquire a System Web Console Administrator password from Symitar.
- Your host needs a minimum of 2 GB of RAM for each SymXchange instance. 2.5 GB is recommended.
- You should perform all SymXchange development on your primary server.
Symitar also recommends that you take the SymXchange Developer’s Workshop course, which is offered in-person in San Diego, or take the virtual, hands-on lab classes via WebEx®.
- SymXchange Interface
SymXchange is an API that leverages web services that provides third-party vendors, credit unions, and JHA products the ability to access the Episys database. With SymXchange, you can use third-party vendor applications to perform transactions, inquiries, file maintenance, and run PowerOn specfiles on member accounts.
