Installation and Configuration

This section describes configuring your system and installing SymXchange.

Symitar recommends that you complete the tasks in this procedure in order.

We recommend 2.5 GB of RAM per SymXchange instance.

SymXchange first became available in Release 2014.01 and has been updated since then. Clients who want to use SymXchange must have Symitar Release 2015.00 Service Pack 3 (or higher) in production across their entire server.

These service packs are currently available by request from the Software Acceptance Management (SAM) team.

As of Release 2020.01, SymXchange is included with the Symitar core.
