Notification SMS Keyword Search

The Notification SMS Keyword Search service allows ENS publishers to search for SMS keywords that provide words and character sequences in the bodies of SMS messages that are used to correlate the message, and its intent, with a receiving institution and publisher system, and often, also a specific alert, recipient, or recipient subscription.

Message Flow

In jXchange, the Notification SMS Keyword Search service uses an exchange of MType messages to provide ENS publishers with the ability to search for SMS keywords.

Primary Request

The consumer forwards the NotSMSKeyWordSrchRq_MType message to the service provider. The message contains the following simple elements:

  • CustomerProd
  • InstRtID
  • SMSKeyWordId

Primary Response

The service provider returns the NotSMSKeyWordSrchRs_MType message to the consumer. The message contains the following simple elements:

  • CustomerProd
  • InstRtID
  • SMSKeyWordId

Notification SMS Keyword Search Behavior

The Notification SMS Keyword Search (NotSMSKeyWordSrch) operation behavior is as follows.

The Notification SMS Keyword Search root request message (NotSMSKeyWordSrchRq_MType) includes optionally Consumer Product ConsumerProd, SMS Keyword Identification SMSKeyWordId, and Institution Routing Identification InstRtId simple elements. All elements at the request have an and relationship and not an or relationship.

A request without any root request elements conveys to the provider to return all the eligible SMS keywords related to the ENS environment.

The SMS Keyword Identification SMSKeyWordId simple element search type attribute is supported.

These four simple elements should be included in the MsgRqHdr_CType complex because they are used by ENS for audit logging, activity logging, and error logging:

  • AuditUsrId
  • AuditWsId
  • BusCorrelID
  • jXLogTrackingId

These simple elements should also be included in the MsgRqHdr_CType complex because ENS uses them to validate information:

  • ValidConsmProd - This simple element is validated against this list of configured publishers within ENS:
    • BillPay
    • BSA
    • CIF 20/20
    • DirectLine Wires
    • DirectLine International
    • Enterprise Audit
    • Enterprise Event
    • Enterprise Logging
    • Identify Management
    • jhaEnterprise Workflow
    • jhaID Scan
    • NTCM
    • OnBoard Loans
    • Persistent Storage
    • Service Gateway
    • SilverLake

The Notification SMS Keyword Search root response message (NotSMSKeyWordSrchRs_MType) echoes back the request elements. The Notification SMS Keyword Search Record Array (NotSMSKeyWordSrchRecArray_AType) returns the Consumer Product ConsumerProd, SMS Keyword Identification SMSKeyWordId, Correlated Alert Name CorrelAlrtName, SMS Key Word Expiration Time/Date SMSKeyWordExpTimeDt, and Keyword Static Type KeyWordStaticType simple elements.
