Notification Activity Search

Notification Activity Search is a jXchange service designed to provide ENS publishers and institutions with the ability to research the history of specific alerts.

Message Flow

In jXchange, the Notification Activity Search service uses a typical exchange of MType messages to provide ENS publishers and institutions the ability to research the history of specific alerts.

Primary Request

The consumer forwards the NotActSrchRq_MType message to the service provider. The message contains the following simple elements:

  • AlertActCode
  • AlrtName
  • AlrtPkgId
  • AlrtPkgSubId
  • AlrtRecipId
  • ConsumerProd
  • ConsmRecipId
  • EndTimeDt
  • InstRtId
  • RecipCon
  • StartTimeDt

Primary Response

The service provider returns the NotActSrchRs_MType message to the consumer. The message contains the following simple elements:

  • AlrtActCode
  • AlrtName
  • AlrtPkgId
  • AlrtPkgSubId
  • AlrtRecipId
  • ConsumerProd
  • ConsmRecipAcctId
  • ConsmRecipId
  • EndTimeDt
  • InstRtId
  • RecipCon
  • StartTimeDt

Notification Activity Search Behavior

The Notification Activity Search (NotActSrch) operation behavior is as follows.

The Notification Activity Search root request message (NotActSrchRq_MType) requires the Consumer Product element (ConsumerProd). It includes optionally a wide range of filters. All elements at the request have an and relationship and not an or relationship.

The Institution Routing Identification (InstRtId), Alert Package Identification (AlrtPkgId), Alert Package Subscriber Identifier (AlrtPkgSubId), Alert Name (AlrtName), Alert Recipient Identification (AlrtRecipId), Alert Activity Code (AlrtActCode), Consumer Recipient Identifier (ConsmRecipId), Consumer Recipient Account Identification (ConsmRecipAcctId), Recipient Contact (RecipCon), Start Time/Date (StartTimeDt), and End Time/Date (EndTimeDt) are available filters at the root request. The service provider reserves the right to limit the response set by requiring a range of dates.

The Start Time/Date (StartTimeDt) and End Time/Date (EndTimeDt) are expressed in ISO 8601 time format and must contain either Zulu time or local time and the UTC offset.

The absence of the Institution Routing Identification (InstRtId) tells the service provider to return all the Alert Activity log records that belong to a specific Consumer Product (ConsumerProd) across all Financial Institutions.

The Alert Name (AlrtName) and Recipient Contact (RecipCon) elements support the Search Type attribute.

A consumer request with a Start Time/Date (StartTimeDt) but without an End Time/Date (EndTimeDt) returns all of the qualified Alert Activity Log records with a date equal to and greater than the Alert Event Time/Date (AlrtEventTimeDt).

A consumer request with an End Time/Date (EndTimeDt) without a Start Time/Date (StartTimeDt) returns all the qualified Alert Activity Log records with a date equal to and less than the Alert Event Time/Date (AlrtEventTimeDt).

A consumer request with a Start Time/Date (StartTimeDt) and an End Time/Date (EndTimeDt) returns all the qualified Alert Activity Log records with a date equal to and greater than the Alert Event Time/Date (AlrtEventTimeDt) and a date equal to and less than the Alert Event Time/Date (AlrtEventTimeDt).

The Notification Activity Search root response message (NotActSrchRs_MType) echoes backs the request elements.

The Notification Activity Search Record Array (NotActSrchRecArray_AType) returns the Consumer Product (ConsumerProd), Publisher Version (PubVer), Institution Routing Identification (InstRtId), Alert Package Identifier (AlrtPkgId), Alert Package Subscriber Identifier (AlrtPkgSubId), Alert Name (AlrtName), Alert Recipient Identifier (AlrtRecipId), Alert Event Time/Date (AlrtEventTimeDt), Alert Activity Code (AlrtActCode), Activity Description (ActDesc), Consumer Recipient Identifier (ConsmRecipId), Consumer Recipient Account Identifier (ConsmRecipAcctId), and Recipient Contact (RecipCon) elements.

The standard Search message header tenets are applicable.
