Positive Pay Item Inquiry
Positive Pay Item Inquiry is a jXchange service designed to allow consumers to inquire on positive pay violations.
Message Flow
In jXchange, the Positive Pay Item Inquiry service uses a typical exchange of
MType
messages to allow consumers to inquire on positive pay
violations.
Primary Request
The consumer forwards the PosPayItemInqRq_MType
message to the service
provider. The message contains the following simple elements:
- ActIntent
- PosPayItemId
Primary Response
The service provider returns the PosPayItemInqRs_MType
message to the
consumer. The message contains the following simple elements:

- ActIntentKey

Positive Pay Item Inquiry Behavior
The Positive Pay Item Inquiry (PosPayItemInq
) service behavior is as
follows.
The Positive Pay Item Inquiry root request message (PosPayItemInqRq_MType
)
requires an Account Identifier (AccountId_CType
) and Positive Pay Item
Identifier (PosPayItemId).
The Activity Intention simple element (ActIntent) default canonical value is ReadOnly. The canonical values Upd and Dlt require the service provider to return the Activity Intention Key simple element (ActIntentKey) to use for subsequent modification service with the adopted concurrency model.
The Positive Pay Item Inquiry root response message (PosPayItemInqRs_MType
)
returns the Account Identifier (AccountId_CType
), Positive Pay Item
Identifier (PosPayItemId), and Positive Pay Item Inquiry Record complex
(PosPayItemInqRec_CType

- AuthenUsrId
- The user ID which the consumer would like the service provider to authenticate with

institution is operating. Canonical values are:
- Prod
- InstRtId
- The identification of the entity of the submitted message. A
financial institution entity uses the routing transit or nine-digit number assigned to
financial institutions for routing as assigned by the American Bankers Association. Any
leading zeros must be provided for a complete routing and transit number. A
non-financial institution entity should use a mutually agreed upon identification that
must contain at least one non-integer character. The canonical value is
JHA.

- An identification provided by jXchange to be able to trace the request and response of a message from the third-party gateway, internal gateway, and service provider for the Soap Header Fault.

- The consumer name that can be validated by enterprise governance. The canonical values are managed in a consumer/product enterprise table. The canonical value is: JHA.
